The Glade Sense & Spray Automatic Freshener, and Glade Sense & Spray Automatic Freshener (with 360° design) detects motion when you pass by or turn on the lights, instantly releasing a burst of fragrance into the air. Equipped with motion sensor technology, it cuts down on waste and conserves refills by automatically freshening only when you need it most. This product has been discontinued.


Glade Sense & Spray Automatic Freshener and Glade Sense & Spray Automatic Freshener (with 360° design) offer a unique fragrance experience that blends an attractive design with motion-sensor technology that allows the unit to spray when you pass by or turn on the lights, automatically releasing a concentrated burst of fragrance into the air. The units also come with a boost button, that could be pressed at any time for an extra burst of fragrance whenever you like or need it. Choose from a good variety of quality Glade fragrances.

  • Operation

The unit automatically sprays a burst of fragrance when a shadow or light has been cast upon a sensor. To conserve the refill, the unit comes with a lock-out mode setting. The lock-out mode for regular Sense & Spray is 20 minutes (30 minutes for older devices). The lock-out mode for Sense & Spray (with 360° design) is 15, 20, or 30 minutes depending on the switch setting chosen inside. For an instant burst of Glade fragrance anytime, press the boost button on the front (or the top on 360° units) of the unit. Use only Glade Sense & Spray refills in these units.

  • Placement

For best results, place unit upright on a flat surface where the upward spray will not be obstructed. Place unit within 5 feet of traffic flow.

  • Helpful hints
    • The sensor may not respond to detecting motion if:
      • The room is too dark. Ensure there's sufficient lighting to allow a shadow to be cast upon the sensor.
      • The unit is placed directly in a light source, especially sunlight. Move the unit out of the bright light.
      • Sensor on the front of the device is blocked by objects. Please position the unit so that the sensor is unobstructed.
